CARE is an authorized Autism Demonstration Services Provider for both Triwest and Tricare South/Humana. CARE's team of Educational Interventions for Autism Spectrum Disorders (EIA) Supervisors and trained EIA Tutors provide one to one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for children of active duty military families.
What is the Autism Demonstration Project?
- A Department of Defense-funded program through TRICARE's Extended Care Health Option (ECHO). The program is specifically for children with Autistic Disorder (AD), Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (PDDNOS), Asperger's Disorder (AS) or childhood disintegrative disorder.
Why the Autism Demonstration Project?
- 8,500 of the 1.2 million children of Active Duty Military families have been diagnosed with one of the ASDs
- ABA is currently the only EIA service accepted by Military Health Services as having been shown to reduce or eliminate specific problem behaviors and teach new skills to individuals with ASD
If you are: a) part of an active military family and b) have a family member who might benefit from this program, contact us or go to the Tricare website
